How it all began…
“After months of antagonizing DeLane’s roommate to invite me over so I could try to win DeLane over with my charm, the opportunity finally arose. Little did I know I was being invited to an all girls night party. I walked in wearing my finest gray henley to the sight of a dozen women I had never met. I was immediately drawn to DeLane and although there were 12 other bachelorettes and no other male competition (every guy’s dream), I couldn’t stop talking to her. DeLane has always had the ability to make herself stand out in the crowd. Even though she is so short, she can never be overlooked. She is approachable, adventurous, and full of intriguing conversations. I felt that I got so lucky that night that I went back to the store and bought four more henley shirts in different colors.”

“Dominic and I had been officially dating for all of eight hours when he surprised me at my birthday party with a cake. In classic Dom fashion, he thought he’d prank me with trick candles that wouldn’t blow out. However, in his excitement, he added way too many candles before walking into the party and nearly set my apartment complex on fire. To make matters worse, I accidentally gave him the wrong room number. Imagine the look on my neighbors’ faces when some guy with a flaming cake showed up at their door! In sheer panic, he threw the candles into the snow and arrived at the party with far fewer candles than he originally planned.

DeLane and Dominic’s love story began at William’s Uptown Pub and Peanut Bar, where they first met shortly after DeLane moved to Minnesota. For their first date, they shared a cozy dinner at Lake & Irving in Minneapolis. It was DeLane’s first Minnesotan winter, so after dinner, Dom showed her what a real snowball fight was like and gave her a piggyback ride through the snow to save her shoes from the slush. From that moment on, they became not just partners, but absolute best friends. Together they built a life full of adventure and deepened their love with every experience shared. Five years later, Dominic proposed during a romantic sail on a private boat in the San Diego Harbor. Now, the two are overjoyed to begin the next chapter of their journey as husband and wife.
